About the Role
Reporting to and working closely with Senior Procurement Management, the Role Holder will play a key role in identifying opportunities to maximise cost efficiencies across third party relationships, maintaining a proactive approach to contract renewals anddeveloping procurement initiatives in respect of new contracts whilst also focusing on risk of third party arrangements.
A key requirement of the role is to pro-actively manage in-year contract renewals and lead sourcing activities. There is a need to collaborate with business owners to ensure contracts are renewed on time with appropriate oversight and business support inrespect on new contracts. Appropriate sourcing strategies and negotiation techniques must be adopted to optimise existing commercial terms and deliver value for money.
It is essential that strong interpersonal and professional relationships are maintained to ensure ongoing collaboration across many business areas whilst maintaining a positive attitude and energy in working with others.

The Procurement and Supplier Management department is a newly created central function that provides guidance and support to the business in managing supplier relationships throughout the Supplier Lifecycle, from identification of business needs throughto exit. The function maintains responsibility for agreement of new supplier relationships and supplier reviews in line with an agreed structure. It embeds a framework that ensures processes and procedures are aligned with regulatory requirements, allows foroversight of supplier risk, and drives efficiencies and cost benefits
