**The Supply Room is currently seeking dedicated teaching assistants to work in schools in Plymouth starting in January 2025.**

**About**:
As a teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers with lesson delivery and maintaining classroom discipline in schools across Plymouth. Your duties will also involve assisting students in their learning, providing additional support to those with special educational needs, and collaborating with colleagues to create educational resources and organise activities.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reporting progress to teachers and senior staff, and ensuring compliance with school policies, including safeguarding and child protection measures. Flexibility is key as you will need to be willing to work in different school settings within Plymouth and adapt to varying environments, or equally undertake a single long-term position in one school.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience within UK education, or childcare background
- Excellent English skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with students with SEND (including needs such as ASC and ADHD)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Proficient in collating and providing feedback
- Good working knowledge of ICT

**Qualifications**:

- 5 GCSE's, including English and Mathematics at minimum Level 4/ grade C or equivalent

- Ability to remain positive and calm when dealing with students, parents, colleagues, and external organisations within Plymouth schools

**Job Specs**:

- Full Time, starting in January 2025 (TERM TIME ONLY)
- 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday in schools across Plymouth
- Temporary, agency, contract for services
