**Teaching Assistant - Plymouth**

The role is to work as a Teaching Assistant. Your role is to ensure positive behaviour is displayed across the school and in class. Your role as a Teaching Assistant is to support young people with their behaviour and help them develop strategies and actionplans to encourage positive learning. You will need to forge a strong professional positive relationship with all students that you work with.

The Primary Schools are based in Plymouth

You will be encouraged to identify barriers the young people have to learn and how their behaviour has an impact on their education. Your role will be heavily involved in the pastoral side of school life and the impact of this on the young person's education.

For this role you must:
Have a strong academic background
- or a strong background working with young people
- Be able to work full-time school hours term time only Mon to Friday 8.30-4 pm

**EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS**

Previous SEND experience - Previous experience with challenging behaviour - Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)

Team Teach training would be highly desirable for this role

**CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS**
- Location - Plymouth
- Position - Teaching Assistant
- Start date - September 2021
- Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
- Full time/part-time - Part time / Full Time both available
- The minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £65 per day.

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional child related references
