These solutions create opportunities for drivers, businesses, retailers and consumers to move big and bulky things in a way they haven’t before.

With our recent acquisition of the Tuffnells Parcels Express brand, we have taken a significant leap towards disrupting the logistics and delivery market. We have ambitious plans to relaunch the brand and propel Shift to become the leading provider of IDW delivery services.

We use AI-driven routing to match van and truck capacity of drivers already on the road, ensuring that consumers and businesses have access to a reliable and flexible moving service that operates on their schedule.

**The opportunity as a Depot Team Leader**:
We are offering a remarkable opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Depot Team Leader to join our Brierley Hill depot who will play a key role in the exciting relaunch of Tuffnells Parcels Express.

In this role. you will be a beacon of leadership, exemplifying excellence and guiding our depot team towards success. Your primary duties will involve recruiting and nurturing talented individuals, effectively communicating business objectives, optimising the allocation of resources, overseeing relationships with third-party providers, supporting commercial initiatives, maintaining budget control, monitoring KPIs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and championing a positive culture of health and safety.

**Responsibilities included as the Depot Team Leader**:

- Operating as a “role model” leading and managing the depot team
- Recruiting, inducting and developing team members to deliver excellent service, whilst ensuring a working environment that is inclusive and respectful
- Communicate the company’s business objectives and performance
- Challenge and review the operation to ensure the efficient and effective deployment and utilisation of resources, making proposals on proposed procurement of equipment to ensure appropriate resources
- Audit and manage third party providers to ensure expected levels of performance and service are delivered and exceeded whilst costs are in line with contracts
- Support commercial activity including contract tenders / re-tenders and contract reviews with key and strategic customers, ensuring all incidents of service failure are investigated and fed back to the customer to reassure that procedures are reviewed to prevent re-occurrence.
- Accountable for managing the depot budget, exercising effective cost control in order to maximise profitability whilst ensuring service excellence delivery levels.
- Monitor depot KPIs to ensure these are achieved and exceeded in a cost effective manner, taking corrective action when a KPI is at risk of not being achieved
- Demonstrate the company's commitment to a positive health and safety culture, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Including use of PPE and equipment training. Ensure all accidents and near misses are fully investigated

**What you need to bring**:
Essential:

- Proven experience in successfully achieving and exceeding targets, whilst delivering an outstanding client experience, in a fast paced environment
- Practical knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- People management and leadership experience including managing teams
- Previous experience of managing a budget, working to operational KPIs and financial targets
- Be proficient in using a variety of IT systems

Desirable:

- H&S qualification
- Experience within freight industry at a management level
- Transport Manager CPC qualification
