**Background**
- The Graduate College has strategic oversight for approximately 3,000 postgraduate research and postgraduate taught students at Canterbury Christ Church University. The key strategic objectives of the Graduate College are to promote growth at postgraduate level, developing our offer to keep pace with demand for both academic and practice-based postgraduate courses and to provide an excellent postgraduate student experience.
- The new role of Graduate College Administrator has been created to provide administrative support to the Dean of the Graduate College and to the Academic Leads (responsible for PGT, PGR, the Academic Professional Apprenticeship (Research) and the Researcher Development Programme) as well as supporting the general administrative tasks of the Graduate College.

**The Role**
- The Graduate College Administrator will carry out a variety of tasks associated with the running of the Graduate College. They will be responsible for responding to enquiries coming in to the Graduate College, triaging matters and answering common questions. Additionally, the Graduate College Administrator will be allocated tasks by the Dean of the Graduate College, the Academic Leads and the Business Managers where appropriate.
- The Graduate College Administrator will act as the personal assistant to the Dean and will undertake tasks such as diary management and organisation of meetings.
- The Graduate College Administrator will support postgraduate students (both home and international) and will be required to work with university systems such as Blackboard, SITS and Research Space. The postholder will work to develop and enhance the postgraduate student experience and may take on tasks linked to peer mentoring and the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion among the postgraduate community.

**The Person**
- The Graduate College Administrator will be competent in word processing, Office 365 and data management handling and will be required to have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The post holder will be based on campus in the Graduate College in Canterbury (Erasmus, North Holmes Road).
