Our client is a financial services provider, offering mortgages and savings to their customers. They have an excellent opportunity for an analyst to join their risk function, supporting the Chief Risk Officer and Risk managers with risk control and oversight.

This is a fantastic role for an individual who has some experience/exposure to risk, who would like to expand their knowledge across all areas of the risk functions.

Main duties of the Risk Analyst will be:

- Maintain and develop processes within the business for risk assessment, review of risk events and risk returns, analysis of trends and identification of emerging risks.
- Maintain the Operational Risk Register and associated reporting to EGRC.
- Support the responsibilities of Fraud Officer (e.g. covering production orders) and assist with content of staff training material.
- Undertake monitoring activity to identify failures to follow procedures or policy.
- Undertake thematic reviews to identify weaknesses in policy or procedures.
- Reporting of outcomes and key risks to EGRC, BGRC and the Board.
- Assist in the review and enhancement to stress tests undertaken within the group.
- Assist in the preparation of material to include within RRP, ICAAP, ILAAP or ad hoc papers for ALCO or EGRC.

The successful person will possess:

- Experience in a risk function
- Analytical skills
