**Summary**:

- The Defence Chemical Biological Radiological & Nuclear Centre (DCBRNC) is responsible for the delivery of Enhanced Generalist, Specialist and Medical CBRN training to the 3 Services; its mission is to deliver world-class CBRN training and technical assistance in support of UK Defence.
- This is an exciting opportunity to work in a mixed environment with Civilians, Military and contractors enabling methodology and shared experiences.
- This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.**Job description**:

- The Quartermaster (QM) is the lead officer and principal advisor to the Commandant (Comdt) for estates, logistic, transport and equipment matters. The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of Health and Safety assurance to Comdt DCBRNC and the wider centre.
- As an MOD civil servant, you will lead a small team of civilian and military personnel providing estate management and logistic support.**Responsibilities**:

- Management of; training estate (green areas and live firing ranges,) accommodation (service flats and housing) and technical estate (offices and classrooms.) This includes advising on Health and Safety in general as well as specifically Environmental, Radiation and Fire Safety practices.
- Be responsible for managing let commercial contracts to ensure value for money (VFM) is being continuously provided and have financial oversight of accounts linked to the centre.- Facilitate internal and external audits of DCBRNC systems including for explosives & ammunition.
- All Arms Quartermasters Course.
- Defence Transport Managers Course.
- Unit Safety Adviser Course (or Level 3 certificate - NEBOSH/IOSH)
- The complete Environmental Protection Package at RAF Halton
- Radiation Safety Officers (RSO) Course.
- Unit Fire Advisor’s Course (or Level 3 certificate - NEBOSH/IOSH).
- Equipment Care Managers Course (ECMC).

- Previous military and logistics related experience would greatly benefit the role holder but is not a pre-requisite.**Behaviours**:
