Calling experienced healthcare practitioners with a keen interest in community frailty or community practice. We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional on the NMC or HCPC register to work as part of the multidisciplinary team based at Global House within the community setting
You will be working closely alongside medical, nursing and AHP teams in the community and virtual ward setting as a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (TACP). We are specifically looking for practitioners with existing academic qualifications at level 7 aligned to the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and those who may already have completed qualifications in non-medical prescribing. It is essential that you have experience working within the community setting
Support and supervision is key to the success of the TACP role and you will be supported by a workplace supervisor in practice. You will need to continue a portfolio of evidence and complete clinical capabilities in practice alongside an academic programme developed specifically for you.
Dependent on the experience of the successful applicant, completion of a level 7 academic program and completion of the in-house capability packages you will progress to Agenda for Change Band 8a with working hours to meet the needs of the service.
The purpose of the role will be to undertake a period of training, under the supervision of an identified expert clinician to prepare for progression to Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Band 8A) role. This will involve undertaking and successfully completing work-based competencies and an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
The Trainee will be expected to progress towards achieving all advanced level skills and is able to demonstrate ability to consistently perform those skills at an advanced level. All Trainees will undergo a period of consolidation and be able to demonstrate they have the skills, knowledge, and experience to meet the Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) job description; this will include the award of an MSc in Advanced Practice.
