**Job Type**: Full-time

The hours for this role are 35 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8.25 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Friday 8.25 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Based in Neston.

**Salary: £18,375 (starting salary) - £22,000 (potential) depending on annual development and performance reviews.**

**Job Summary**:
The role will involve packaging and processing orders for distribution in a fast-paced environment. This is a day shift pattern with no night / evening work required.

Ideally you will have more than 3 years experience working in a packaging or factory environment, although full training will be given. You must be a team player and able to work under your own initiative, completing tasks to a very high standard.

The purpose of the job is to ensure that quality products are produced, in a manner in keeping with Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

**Key awareness, skills & duties**:

- Working on production lines, operating machinery / equipment in an efficient, safe and productive manner to a high standard.
- Recognising relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material selection and processing.
- Adhere to correct procedures.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time.
- Always adhere to safe working practices.
- To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given.
- Transfer to other areas of the department as and when requested.
- Report any major maintenance issues immediately.
- Responsibility to ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and Regulations made under that Act which are relevant to site activities.
- Ensuring compliance with the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policies.
- Ensure all PPE is always worn where applicable.
- Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition.
- Work involves manual handling, some of which is very heavy.
- Ability to work standing for long periods required.
- Full clean driving licence preferred
- Computer literate

**Personal Specification**:

- Highly motivated able to work as part of a team, flexibility required to cover sickness holidays overtime etc.
- Must possess positive working attitude
- Ability to learn quickly
- Quality orientated
- Good level of numeracy and general education
- Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
- Ability and willingness to perform manual work
- Good attendance and punctuality essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing to go the extra mile without being prompted
- Ability to work overtime at short notice if required

**Essential requirements**:

- Manufacturing experience: 3 years
- Counterbalance forklift truck training to RTITB standard
- Working to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
- Weighing and measuring experience
- Compliance with Health & Safety at work and usage of PPE
- Ability to follow instruction and record information accurately
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Full clean driving licence
- Excellent vision (eye sight)
- Excellent hand / eye co-ordination
