**About me**

My name is Michael, I am a disabled man in my late 20's with a learning disability looking for a dependable and friendly Support Worker to join my fun loving team The job is to assist me in all aspects of my life including mobility, personal care, social life, cooking, shopping, work, transport and organising my time. I have impairments which impact my balance, vision and cognition. I live in my own self contained flat within my family home about 4 miles south of Morpeth.

I have a small dog walking business and I have an assistance dog called Jack. In my spare time I enjoy gaming, looking after my dog, going to the gym and 1-1 pilates. I am quite an active person and enjoy getting out and about. I am always on the lookout for new things to try. I have a Motability vehicle so that my Support Workers can support me getting from A to B and support me in my busy life.

**About you**

Previous experience is not required, as training will be provided but you need to show patience. People with previous experience should approach this role with open minds and be ready to listen and learn. You will need:

- to have excellent communication skills
- to be physically able to support me
- to hold a full clean driving licence
- ability to commute to and from work

**DBS checks, references and training**

Please note that any offer will be conditional on the following:

- A successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
- Evidence of Right to work in the UK
- Evidence of a Full, Clean Driving Licence
- Two satisfactory references
- Mandatory training during onboarding and probation period (including job shadowing)
