We are looking for a motivated individual with good lab-based skills to join our Late Chemistry Development team - positions are open to Senior level.
The Details...
The role will involve:

- Leading the late-stage development of sequencing adapters and protein nanopores.
- Optimising biological components to improve sequencing accuracy and throughput.
- Purification development on a wide range of biomolecules, primarily using HPLC.
- Bio-conjugation and chemical biology on proteins, peptides and oligonucleotides.
- Bio-characterisation using a wide array of techniques to guide development activities.
- Technology transfer to both internal and external manufacturing teams.
- Managing multiple projects in a very fast paced and agile environment.
- Working and communicating effectively with other groups in Development, Applications, Research and Production.
What We're Looking For...
- Significant hands-on experience in biomolecule chromatography.
- Experience in HPLC and associated techniques.
- Desire to train and manage more junior members of the team.
- Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and build on the role.
- Ability to plan own workload and direct own development activities.
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

- Working with external suppliers or CMOs on critical projects.
- In depth protein analytical and biophysical characterisation.
- In-depth understanding of chromatographic equipment, HPLC, CE or FPLC.
- Experience managing a group of junior scientists.
