**Role**: Health & Safety Manager / Health & Safety Officer
**Salary**: £33,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus vehicle or car allowance and benefits
**Location**: Commutable from Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Gillingham, Tonbridge and surrounding areas
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm (Flexibility required)

A growing company that specialises in the supply of equipment within the Water, Drainage, Pump and Utilities throughout UK are looking for a Health & Safety professional to join their team from the present incumbent retiring. This role comes with a Managementjob title, and in an ideal world be looking for someone senior in health & safety, however they are negotiable. So if you’ve got 3+ years’ experience as a Health & Safety professional and looking for a career move and challenge, please apply
This is a role that will encompass a nice balance from being in the office and going out on sites, approx. 75% office based and 25% field based out on sites. So the person must have a driving licence and comfortable with a mobile role.
**Responsibilities**
You will be supporting the company from a health & safety prospective, ensuring they are compliant and meeting the standards required. The company supply equipment to various customer sites across UK and therefore be required to complete various safety auditsand reporting against them, upholding their accreditation. It is an existing role as you will be helping to shape and develop the future of health & safety within the company as they go through expansion and growth.
- To provide competent SHEQ leadership and up to date advice and management across the Company, promoting a safety culture, working towards zero-harm goals;
- To provide strong, pro-active and comprehensive Business Assurance leadership - particularly in relation to accreditations such as ISO.
- To maintain and develop the company’s risk management systems in relation to health and safety, environmental and quality;
- To provide robust corporate governance and risk strategies relating to the field of SHEQ, working closely with other corporate functions to ensure complete coverage and response to risk;
- To provide strategic direction to the business in relation to safety, health, quality and environmental developments and campaigns.

**Requirements**:

- Health & safety professional background, many industries considered such as construction, waste and water, pumping and stations etc.
- NEBOSH Accredited.
- Experience of ISO in any of the following; 9001 / 14001 / 45001.
- Auditing experience is preferred.
- Well organised and good prioritisation skills.
- Working to deadlines.
- Hunger and drive to learn and succeed.
- Driving Licence.
