Health, Safety and Environmental Manager Health, Safety and Environmental Manager - utilities, telecoms, civil engineering - £60k-£68k+ package - Kent, with travel across the South-East. Responsibilities To implement and comply with IMS and best practice To ensure the Business is compliant with all IMS and contract specific requirements To report on SHE performance to the Executive Management Team and the Board To contribute to the formation of SHE strategy and policy To manage the reporting and review of all accidents / incidents To ensure compliance with future SHE legislation. To anticipate / be aware of future SHE legislation changes and make plans to adapt to new legislation in a controlled / timely manner To encourage and support the creation of a functional culture that embraces and supports principles and goals To review issues / processes on a regular basis and introduce best practices To provide leadership / support across the Business and supply chain To lead and co-ordinate interactions with relevant statutory bodies and regulatory agencies e.g. Health and Safety Executive To implement Integrated Management System (IMS), policy and procedures and all legal requirements Competencies Detailed understanding of SHE legislation Working knowledge of relevant ISO Standards Methodical and able to follow through, even for small matters Good oral and written communicator at all corporate levels Good training skills and ability for public speaking Ability to work as part of and/or lead a team Ability to positively influence others Ability to work on own initiative and deliver key objectives Able to work under pressure Notices and responds to others needs The ability to lead a small team interacting with every facet of the business Computer literate Manages and influences own area, leading by example Has responsibility for managing performance and productivity of self and others Guide, coach and coordinate the work of others where applicable Manages the operation with attention to planning, monitoring and execution Evaluates and develops individuals Previous relevant experience Root cause / trending analysis Qualifications NEBOSH qualification - Minimum Chartered SHE professional or equivalent CMIOSH (or demonstrable IPD / CPD equivalent) - desired CSCS card (as appropriate) Other supporting business and/or engineering qualifications Full UK Driving Licence Job Info Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager Company: AndersElite Location: Maidstone, Kent Sector: Construction Contract: Permanent Hours: Full Time #J-18808-Ljbffr
