We here at Network Healthcare Redruth are currently recruiting for a wide range of healthcare assistants to work with clients in their own homes, within the Redruth, Falmouth, Hayle and Camborne areas of Cornwall. This role is varied, ranging from 30 minute visits to 12 hour shifts, consisting of days and nights.

**Job Title: Healthcare Assistant**

Healthcare Assistants attend to the personal needs and comforts of the elderly and the infirm with care and support needs of our clients (service users) within in their own homes.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- assists and enables service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe;
- medication prompting and administration
- serves meals and assists with feeding if required;
- generally assists with service users overall comfort and wellbeing;
- Companionship and outreach visits
- provides interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user;
- undertakes light duties and shopping calls
- liaises with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.

Below are a few details about the Healthcare Assistant Role:
**Entry requirements**:
There are no formal academic entry requirements. In most cases workers will be required to register with the appropriate statutory body which involves satisfying the registration criteria. This would normally include holding or working towards the appropriate qualification for the job. Entrants must typically be 18 years old and have experience of working in a care environment. Both off and on the job training is available. A wide range of qualifications including NVQs/SVQs covering various aspects of care are available. Background checks including a DBS check is required.

**Salary: A starting annual salary of £20480 per year, paid mileage and travel time, full training given plus refer a friend bonus scheme and Team building events.**
