We have a great opportunity for someone looking for an entry level position within our St. JOHN Bakery in Maltby Street as a Bakery Kitchen Cleaner/Kitchen Assistant. You will get to work alongside our wonderful Bakers and Pastry Chefs whilst they create our famous filled doughnuts, morning pastries, afternoon eccles cakes and our delicious loaves of all varieties.....

This is a key support role for the Bakery, and you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of cleanliness, thereby assisting the pastry and bakery teams to continually exceed our production levels and quality standards.

The ability to be flexible over working days, the position is full time over five days and will include some weekend working.
A good level of spoken English and you can understand and are happy to follow instructions.
Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or Porter working in a fast-paced food environment.
Some previous experience and knowledge of bakery operations is desirable, but not essential.
High standards of engaging & friendly customer service.
Be attentive and proactive, with the ability to respond quickly to the needs of the Bakery and Management team.
A strong team work ethic, who is humble and shows respect for all their colleagues.
Excellent attention to detail, calm under pressure and resilient.
