**Job Description Summary**: The Production Planning Leader will set the operational direction for the Planning team while managing complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, developing processes to ensure we are driving and delivering commitments which exceed our customer’s expectations. You will work with Operations and Leadership Teams to determine Site capacity requirements and positively impact business output.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage & lead a team of planning professionals
- Reviewing internal gate load and capacity, working with business leaders to establish plans to ensure sufficient capacity is available to process the load through each work centre.
- Ensures performance enhancement and benchmarking for cost controls, alerting management on labour over run and working with site Lean Leaders to make recommendations and implementing solutions
- Developing tools and methods to ensure all issues affecting progress of engines through the process are logged in the system. This will include both customer holds and internal process issues
- Driving accuracy regards integrity of data in the system and ensuring the data flowing to corporate systems is accurate
- Liaise with the operations and materials teams to maximise output, on-time delivery and WIP inventory
- Liaise with key external stakeholders, attend internal and external update meetings and provide performance data to support the business
- Assure the continued development and growth of assigned personnel through strong leadership

**Qualifications and requirements**:

- Production Planning experience in a fast paced, operational environment

**Desired experience**:

- Data driven, with excel & SAP experience
- People leadership experience desired but not essential
