**Senior Buyer**:

We're currently seeking a Senior Buyer who shares our commitment to quality, service, and environmental improvement.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Liaise with Bid/Estimating team to provide advice and support ensuring all tenders are competitive.
- Agree standardised discounts and rebates with key material suppliers
- Perform weekly spend analysis, ensuring correct pricing and value is achieved managing spend.
- Support contracts with procurement requirements, researching, specialist sourcing, finding opportunities for value engineering/specification changes, negotiating bulk call off orders
- Source and maintain regular contact with all suppliers to maintain and develop good relations with current and future supply chain members
- Ensure best payment terms, negotiation and management to ensure payment on the terms agreed
- Negotiating/administration of purchasing contracts, including call-off and managing as appropriate
- Maintain regular communication with site management to ensure procurement schedules are being followed
- Manage the procurement of materials to ensure the business has a standardised approach to orders and best value suppliers while maintaining regular contact with Site Managers etc.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- People management experience essential
- Able to communicate and motivate via written media
- Effective proactive liaison with other key stakeholders and departments
- Good organisation and analytical skills with strong negotiating/influencing skills
- Ability to project manage and co-ordinate the work of others
- Must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
- Exceptional communicator at all levels
- Able to manage and prioritise work under pressure

- UK Driving Licence

- Salary £35,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)
