Construction Director - Wolverhampton / Telford

Are you a Construction Director who has experience of managing 4-5 Contracts Managers on circa 10 projects, to include, new build apartments, student accommodation, new build housing and refurbishment projects. If so, this could be the role for you.

We are one of the UK's leading developer's and manager's of residential apartments, student accommodation and refurbishment projects. We are looking to appoint an experienced and driven Construction Director to manage this growing division.

Construction Director - Joining the senior leadership team during an exciting period of growth you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future of the division. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you'll be accountable for ensuring developments are delivered on time, to the required standards within budget, co-ordinating site works and management of subcontractors resulting in a successful project completion.

Your Role

As a Construction Director you will be managing 4-5 Contracts Manager's across 10-12 projects including new build apartments. student accommodation and refurbishment projects

You’ll be responsible for:

- Providing accurate and timely project performance reports, ensuring projects are on track and contract requirements are met
- Providing solutions to any high-lighted areas of concern
- Lead on all construction aspects of the division’s work
- Providing strategic and professional guidance to the Contracts Managers, Project Managers and member of the team
- Working collaboratively with the project teams and sub-contractors, building strong and trusted working relationships
- Developing team capabilities and shaping the future strategy

About You

You’ll be a team player with a real passion for construction and project delivery, an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships and able to influence at all levels. Experienced in managing small teams your leadership skills will be the key to success in this role. You’ll be both quality and customer focused whilst still able to operate commercially. Through experience and strategic thinking, you’ll be confident making high risk decisions whilst maintaining your commitment to excellence with the best interests of clients and the wider business.

Ideally you will possess the following:

- SMSTS certificate
- First Aid certificate
- Scaffolding certificate
- CSCS Card

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
