We are looking for support workers in Tooting to support clients who have complex mental health needs. If you have experience supporting Children/Young people with diagnosed Autistic needs, we want to hear from you today
The role will primarily involve you supporting clients with their day to day living needs by following individualised and person centred support plans. You will be expected to prompt clients with things such as personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning and sustaininghealthy and engaging activities. You will be working as part of a support team, sharing relevant information where appropriate. Managing challenging and complex situations is expected, with a specific focus on de-escalation and non-confrontational approachesto managing challenging behaviour.
- Minimum of 6 months experience supporting vulnerable Children/Young people (ESSENTIAL)
- NVQ level 3 is must
- Understanding of the mental capacity act 2005
- Understanding of Mental Health act 2015
- Understanding of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard
- Commitment of at least 30 hours per week
