Itchen Sixth Form College is looking to appoint an Estates Assistant Apprentice

Are you looking to kick-start a career in estates and facilities management? Are you reliable, practical, and keen to learn? Itchen College is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Estates Team as an Estates Assistant Apprentice.

**About the Role**

As an Estates Assistant Apprentice, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our College site is clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll gain hands-on experience in site maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs, and event support - all while working towards a recognised qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to build real-world skills in a friendly, supportive team environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Assisting with general site maintenance and upkeep
- Helping with room setups and equipment moves for college events
- Supporting basic repairs and redecoration tasks
- Maintaining tidy and litter-free outdoor areas
- Receiving and distributing deliveries across the site

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine willingness to learn. You’ll be a good communicator who works well as part of a team, with a practical approach to everyday tasks and a flexible attitude. While previous experience isn’t required, an awareness of health and safety is beneficial, and full training will be provided. Most importantly, you should be committed to supporting a safe and welcoming environment for all members of our College community, including children and vulnerable adults.

**Hours**: 37 hrs per week

**Contract**: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027

**Salary**:£7.55 per hour

**Closing date**:Friday 13th June 2025

**Interview date**:week commencing 16th June 2025

**Start date**: TBC
