An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Wigan Admin Teams for a Team Administrator working with the Wigan Specialist Community Mental Health Team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, IT competency in Word, Excel and Outlook and a broad range of administrative experience. You will be part of a team of administrators providing admin cover to our service users, clinicians and other health professionals.

The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Wigan Specialist Community Mental Health Team.

The post holder will provide an administrative function to the managers, minute taking of meetings, typing of letters, filing, diary management and other general administrative duties.

- Provide an administrative, secretarial and clerical service to support the Team members, ensuring that letters, memos, reports are accurately produced within agreed timescales, data is input to required standards, and an effective filing and retrieval system is maintained.
- Effective liaison with multi-disciplinary staff/patients/carers/outside agencies ensuring accurate information is communicated as and when required, including reception/switchboard duties dealing with enquiries from clients and the public.
- Responsibility for the processing of incoming and outgoing mail, including prioritising, sorting and action as necessary
- Responsibility for arranging clinics, booking appointments and associated data entry including the retrieval and maintenance of patient records.
- Responsibility for the maintenance of client database including the collection of statistics.
- Arranging, when required, meetings and taking minutes, ensuring accurate transcription and distribution.
- Ensuring the maintenance of the referral pathway process following Service procedures including liaison with other agencies.Full details of role and responsibility can be found in the attached job description and person specification
