**Job description**:
As the Senior Digital Forensics Officer,**you will join our Digital Forensics and Intelligence Services team, which supports investigations and projects carried out by the CMA in their aim to make markets work well for consumers, businesses and the economy. The team is building cutting-edge digital evidence handling capabilities and uses their technical expertise to facilitate the forensic collection, investigation, and analysis of digital material.

The professional collection and handling of digital material is a critical component in all of the enforcement work carried out by the CMA and you will ensure this is done to the highest standard, supporting positive outcomes that have a real impact on public life.

**Person specification**:
Essential:

- Experience of working within, or on behalf of, a law enforcement, regulatory agency or Digital Forensic team; specifically acting as the digital forensics lead in a dawn raid or similar site inspection. (Lead Criteria)
- Demonstrable competence in the use of Digital Forensic acquisition, analysis and review tools, for example, Cellebrite (suite of tools), GrayKey, FTK Imager, Paladin, Forensic Falcon Neo, Digital Collector, Inspector, X-Ways and Nuix Workstation to produce quality evidence in a timely and efficient manner. (Lead Criteria)
- Significant experience of making effective decisions within the Digital Forensic strand of large investigations; specifically in collecting electronically stored information and facilitating evidential review.
- Experience of case management with excellent communication skills in providing technical advice
- An ability to manage and support the development of others working within Digital Forensics.
