Are you a experienced children's home practitioner looking for a new challenge and some flexibility? Maybe you're a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager (or an ex-RM or DM) looking to step into something different and share your expertise on the frontline.

**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced children's residential practitioner to provide floating support across our children's homes in Wirral. We have 3 EBD homes (in Oxton, Wallasey and New Brighton), and this role will be have flexibility to work across them all, helping to lead shifts and provide an element of management support.

**Responsibilities**
- You will lead on shift, making informed decisions and supporting colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Work alongside the team on shifts and providing guidance tothe staff team on behalf of the Registered Manager.
- Be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the homein the absence of the Registered Manager, working flexibly to meet changing demands and be willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of the children living in the home, taking practical steps to ensure their safety. This includes identifying, recording and reporting any risk of harm or child protection concerns in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

**Experience**, **Skills, & Qualifications**:

- **Level 3 Diploma**in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) with **two years of experience** of working with children in a residential care setting
- Experience in l**eading shifts and** **supervising other staff** and experience of effective co-working with other professionals
- Understanding of **how to keep children safe** and protect them from abuse, neglect, exploitation or other types of harm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 48 per week

**Experience**:

- children's residential: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 3 Diploma Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) (required)
