Due to promotion within the team we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our early intervention in psychosis service that supports patients who are thought to be experiencing their first episode of psychosis. We are a growing team that is expanding our multidisciplinary approach to support patients & their families get to where they want to be. We are passionate about the care we give to patients and the environment in which we operate as a team. We are keen to nurture & enhance our clinical skills through sharing of knowledge & experience, internal training, supervision, and access to a wide range of professional and accredited courses. We are a welcoming team of varying professions with a common goal & shared values.
We are looking to recruit an practitioner who is an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player, who is able to actively support further development of integrated working within the service. Good communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with service users and carers, and being able to work within a multi-disciplinary team setting are essential qualities. In addition to conducting specialist assessments you will also carry a care coordination caseload providing early intervention for service users experiencing first episode psychosis. Supported by our current care coordinators & wider MDT, you will develop the skills to autonomously manage your caseload.
Working across core hours (Mon-Friday) you will be responsible for the assessment of needs alongside the development & implementation recovery based care programmes for young people and their families experiencing the early stages of psychosis.
You will be able to take on the challenges of managing a caseload, including care co-ordination, conducting specialist assessments, providing consult to members of the team from a different discipline, and be committed to the 6 Cs, team working and person-centered care.
Many of our staff enhance their clinical practice through accessing further training for such as training in Family Intervention etc.
