An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Mental Health Practitioner within our Liaison and Diversion Team based between our custody suites in Blacon and Middlewich.

The successful applicant will be expected to work across Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Services, which will include Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services and the Crisis Line.

The Liaison and Diversion Practitioner will function at a high competency level. They will have responsibility for actively participating as a key member of the multi-disciplinary.

The post holder will develop, enhance and improve their knowledge of the interface between criminal justice and health and social care agencies, developing skills and competencies at all opportunities. They will demonstrate an attitude which respects and promotes the rights of service users’ and their carer’s, seeking opportunity to engage and develop inclusion.

The post holder will embrace the core values of the organisation and adopt the Principles of the local and national Liaison and Diversion mandate.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
