**Job Title: Operations Assistant (Performing Arts School)**
**Location**: Hybrid (Combination of Remote and On-Site Work)
**Reports To**: School Director
**Job Type**: Part-Time (Flexible Hours)
**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Business Operations**: Support the director with business tasks such as financial record-keeping, budget tracking, managing invoices, and assisting with the enrollment process.
- **Event Coordination**: Assist in the planning and coordination of performances, rehearsals, and events. Be available to attend and assist on-site for all school productions, ensuring smooth execution of activities.
- **Communication**: Act as a key point of contact for both internal and external communications, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- **Facilities and Supplies**: Oversee the maintenance of school premises, manage supplies, and ensure all necessary equipment for performances and classes is ready and functional.
- **Chaperone Duties**: Obtain a chaperone license and supervise students at events, ensuring their safety and well-being during performances.
- **Compliance and Safeguarding**: Assist in ensuring that all safeguarding policies are adhered to, including managing paperwork for child protection, health and safety, and Enhanced DBS checks.
**Requirements**:
- **Experience** in administrative or operations roles, ideally within an educational or performing arts setting.
- **Excellent organisational skills**, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong **written and verbal communication** skills.
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office** (Word, Excel, Outlook) and **Google Workspace**.
- An interest or background in the **performing arts** is highly desirable.
- Must be willing to obtain a **chaperone license**.
- Must undergo an **Enhanced DBS check**.
- Flexibility to attend performances and events on evenings or weekends as required.
- Adaptable and understanding that hours may not be 'usual' office hours.
