Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department. The Successful Applicant will be responsible for the Design & Build Manufacturing of Fuel Storage Tanks, Fuelling Packages and Turnkey Solutions, service customersin the UK and Europe.
We are an Industry Leading Manufacturer, who are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Design Engineer, that has previous experience working in a fabrication design environment. The successful individual will have the opportunity to make a real contributionto the ongoing success of the business, playing a key role in the ongoing Development of Unique, Innovative and Revolutionary concepts.
**Responsibilities**:
- Produce detailed fabrication and welding drawings
- Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements
- Work closely with factory/manufacturing teams to ensure optimum buildability
- Liaise with customers to ensure satisfactory sign off of design requirements
- Ensure the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate
- Make sure all drawings are in compliance with all welding codes of practise
Qualifications/Experience
- Design / Engineering related qualification
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor/Autocad
- Safety awareness and compliance
- Dependability
- Strong communication skills
