We are currently looking for a Transport Clerk to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis and provide key administrative support for our Howdens contract. Your normal working hours will be 13:30 - 22:00hrs once training has been completed. You will be working 10:00hrs-18:30hrs until training is sufficiently completed

The Role
As a Night Transport Clerk, you will provide timely and accurate administrative and operational information for our Howdens contract to customers and our team.
In this varied role, you will ensure customers receive a first-class service by building excellent relationships and maintaining good communication throughout their order journey.
You’ll act as the key contact for customers on information about their orders and find swift and effective resolutions to their queries and issues.
Additionally, you will:
- Co-ordinate customer deliveries and liaise with drivers promptly and effectively
- Communicate concerns, issues or variances to instructions with the Line Manager
- Seek out ways to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency
About You
To be considered as a Transport Clerk, you will need:
- Experience in transport and/or a warehouse environment
- The proven ability to effectively interact with customers
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- To be a team player who can use your own initiative
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
