Our client is looking for an accountancy apprentice to join their team

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**

**AAT Vax - What you will do in your working day**

All aspects of cloud based bookkeeping processes for clients (predominantly QuickBooks)

Preparation of VAT returns for sole traders and micro limited companies

Support with preparation of accounts

Dealing with client queries in an efficient and friendly manner

Actively work as part of the team

Some administration and support duties may be required.

The training you will be getting

You will be enrolled on the Assistant Accountant Level 3 Standard, which includes 6 AAT exams, in addition to the Synoptic Assessment as part of the End-Point Assessment process.

The knowledge units will be delivered at the EMA training hub in Derby via a weekly day-release model.

AAT Modules are as follows:

- Bookkeeping Transactions (Level 2)
- Bookkeeping Controls (Level 2)
- Advanced Bookkeeping (Level 3)
- Final Accounts Preparation (Level 3)
- Management Accounting: Costing (Level 3)
- Indirect Tax (Level 3).

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The team are keen to progress apprentices through the levels of AAT, and on to higher levels of study as agreed through Professional Development Plans. If you show the capability and willingness to progress, you too will have the opportunity to progress to Chartered status, eventually taking on more complex clients.

Things to consider

**The training you will be getting**
The apprenticeship training will take place in house while you are at the workplace. We book once a month training session with your allocated tutor.

We also have 6-8 weeks monthly review plans, this will be with yourself, line manager and tutor.

**What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship**

We are looking for someone who would like to gain experience and if you have been a super star throughout the apprenticeship course, then we will be looking at long term employment.

**Apprenticeship Details**

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience. Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 qualification.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: From £6.40 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
