**Job title: Operations Officer**
**Reports to**: Chief Officer
**Direct Reports**:Fleet Coordinator and Wheels-to-Work (W2W) Coordinator
**Hours per week**: 30 Hours (5 days)
**Salary**: £31,265 (pro rata)
**Job purpose**:
To manage the vehicles owned by the Charity and the staff employed to co-ordinate and drive them.
To deputise for the Chief Officer in their absence.
Advise the Chief Officer on all legislation and restrictions under which the Charity operates vehicles.
Ensure the accurate maintenance and safety procedures and policies are in place for all vehicles.
Receive requests for vehicles and ensure the accurate and timely allocation of vehicles and drivers to such requests.
Provide the Chief Officer with fleet management information as required.
Support the Chief Officer in completing tender submissions and contract amendments.
Support the Chief Officer in completing reports required by the Trustees.
Liaise with Insurance Companies regarding insurance for vehicles on the fleet.
Manage the funding allocated to the vehicle fleets. Seek to ensure the Charity receives best value for money.
When tasked, seek new opportunities to develop both fleets.
Attend and contribute to management meetings.
**Vehicle Fleet (minibuses and wheelchair accessible vehicles)**
Ensure fleet compliance with legislation (to include MOT, tax, insurance, Health & Safety etc).
Ensure timely servicing is arranged to comply with manufacturers handbooks.
Recruit and induct new drivers.
Sign off Timesheets.
Plan fleet usage for contract, group and self-drive tasks.
Prepare, review and update route travel risk assessments.
Liaise with regular users (Group travel and self-drive hire) and North Yorkshire Council Integrated Passenger Transport.
Liaise with external suppliers and service providers.
**Vehicle Fleet (mopeds Wheels to Work)**
Produce policy and procedures for the RyedaleCT W2W scheme.
Assess new W2W applicants to confirm their suitability.
Ensure servicing arranged to comply with manufacturers handbooks.
Review and approve all expenses pertaining to the moped fleet.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week
**Salary**: From £25,350.00 per year
