Freight Handler

**Hours of work**:
42 hours per week over a rotating cycle

The job holder must have a flexible approach to working variable shift patterns within our 24-hour operation

**Job Summary**

You will be required to manually load and unload cargo from the aircraft using the in-plane loading system whilst operating mechanical equipment. You will also be assisting with the aircraft towing and pushback operation. The role requires constant interaction with the Head Loader to ensure the efficient turnaround of transport vehicles. You may also be required to undertake any other duties as required by management, commensurate with the grade of the post

**Job Requirements**
- Fluent spoken and written English is essential
- Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment
- Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5 year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet dnata and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report
- Previous airport experience in ramp and/or warehouse role is desirable
- Previous experience working with heavy/operational machinery is desirable

Full UK/EU driving licence - minimum 1 year’s driving experience is essential
