**Seasonal Positions for Production Operatives (£12.80ph) + Double Overtime available after 40 hours (£25.60)**

**Lubborn Cheese, Chard**

To work within the Production Department as part of a team of Cheesemaking Technicians at our site in the picturesque surroundings of Cricket St Thomas.

**Key tasks and responsibilities**
- Supplying the production machinery with empty moulds
- Ensuring that machinery and equipment is clean
- Monitoring the process to ensure that machinery is running and working correctly
- Regularly turning the cheeses (by hand)
- Transferring products to different areas of the factory
- Administration and record keeping

**You would need the following qualities**:

- Ability to be a supportive team member
- Be diligent in following instructions
- Understand the importance of food hygiene and how to achieve the required standards
- Have basic IT skills
- Ability to read, write and speak good English, including numerical information
- Understand the importance of an efficient production process
- Previous dairy industry experience is desirable, but training will be given

**Working Hours and Benefits**

**Starting rate of £12.80 per hour**
- Full Time Positions will be 40 hours per week, over 5 days Monday-Sunday
- Any hours worked in excess of 40 per week will be paid at double time at **£25.60** **per hour**:

- Nightshift will be paid at **£16 per hour**

We also pay an enhanced rate for weekends;
- £16.00ph for Saturdays
- £19.20ph for Sundays

Shift patterns throughout the Christmas period vary and rotate however some flexibility may be considered if you wish to cover a specific shift, however this would be discussed and agreed during the interview. Our Christmas shifts are as follows;
**5:30am - 2pm**

**8am - 5.30pm**

**1.30pm - 10pm**

The production environment can be hot and humid, and some of the work is physically demanding
