Furnace Operator

We are looking to recruit a Furnace Operator to operate plant/ancillary equipment and organise resources to achieve production schedules efficiently. To prepare, jig, make up and breakdown loads for heat treatment and brazing in accordance with relevant DC, loading plans and build sheets.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Supervise production personnel
- Make up/break down furnace loads
- Plan jigs/fixture utilisation
- Operate plan/equipment following safe operating instructions
- Record process information
- Ensure safe operating of plant/equipment
- Follow Health and Safety and Environmental procedures Comply with quality system requirements
- Maintain good working practices/housekeeping.
- The job holder is responsible for correct/appropriate handling/jigging

**Qualifications, experience and skills**:

- Basic numeracy and literacy and IT competence
- Fork Lift Truck License preferred
- Experience in an industrial environment preferred
- Heat Treatment Experience preferred
