We are currently looking for people to join our Specialist Supply Agency in and around Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives whilst also bringing a positive impact into the classroom. The children we work with are identified as at risk of exclusion and/or have complex, challenging needs. Children have many barriers to learning and at times can find the environment overwhelming. Our children require nurturing, consistent and supportive adults to help them overcome these barriers and make progress within the educational setting.
Keyworkers provide essential support and extra eyes and ears for the class teacher, with duties ranging from class preparations to overseeing a child’s individual, personal and social development.
**Role Details**:
- Title: Specialist Supply Key Worker
- Responsible to: Lead Recruitment Consultant.
- Any work opportunities will be term time only.
**What you will do**
- Support individual pupils displaying SEMH (social, emotional & mental health), in classroom settings or in small groups.
- Developing positive relationships with pupils and schools.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently, in line with the Schools Behaviour Policy to ensure a positive and safe environment
- To work within the Schools policies and procedures at all times.
- To be aware of the confidential nature of issues rated to home and school.
- To have a good understanding of and follow safeguarding guidelines.
- Skills and ability to work in a positive solution-focused manner, working with independence and initiative.
**Qualities we are looking for**
- Some experience working with or caring for Children and have a passion to help and support children.
- Grade 4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Willingness to be trained and developed
- Punctual
- Trustworthy
- Honest
