We are recruiting for a Tendering Engineer to complete designs and costings for customer enquiries and generate new orders to the business. This full time, permanent position is based at our office in Leicester.

Responsibilities will include
- Accountable to Senior Tendering Engineer for quality, customer service and technical resolution.
- Produce designs, costings and proposals for utility connections to new build developments.
- Provide excellent customer service, by always trying to exceed their expectations.
- Effective planning to meet overall company objectives.
- Ensuring the design work is in accordance with Customer and Business requirements.
- Work closely with the sales team to make our proposal to the market as commercially attractive as possible.
- Have a drive to learn and progress knowledge, supported by internal training and development.
- Ensure procurement activities meet procurement processes.
- Ensure effective management of internal asset value documentation.
- Be creative in finding solutions to problems to maintain good relationship with customers.
- Proactively escalate problems to the Senior Tendering Engineer and other functional managers to avoid exposure to Health and Safety risks, customer complaints and commercial exposure
- Ensure ‘Safety by Design’ through a Design Risk Assessment Process.
- Liaise with colleagues across the business organisation to ensure effective delivery of tasks and to ensure project objectives are understood and met.
