Framing Assistant

*Job Summary & Responsibilities*

Greet customers as they come into the shop. Ask customers if they need any help and offer any necessary advice or assistance regarding art sales or picture framing of artwork or memorabilia. To advise customers regarding the framing options for their art/items and measure and price work accordingly.

To process sales transactions, resolve customer issues/queries in person and over the phone. Offer advice regarding bespoke framing, art for sale and any of the services we offer. Keep the shop and workshop clean, tidy and orderly.

*To Learn*
- how to finish (tape, wire and wrap) bespoke picture frames and to aid the picture framer in general, where necessary.
- requirements for bespoke framing to ensure protection of customer artwork / personal items being framed.
- basic stock control and product ordering
- basic aspects of Photoshop (printing, editing, cropping, touching up photos before printing in store)
- how to help customers print instant photos and take / process Passport photos

*Qualifications*
- Previous experience in a picture framers a real advantage
- Ability to work well in a small team environment, where everyone is hands on
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £16,668.00-£18,771.00 per year

Expected hours: 31 per week
