EQUANS are recruiting for a Sustainability Compliance Officer to be based in Manchester or Gateshead. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
To support the Regional Sustainability Team in adhering to PAS2030 installer accreditation standards on our funded retrofit schemes.
In collaboration with the Compliance Officer, this role will be responsible for collating, validating and preparing PAS 2030:2019 compliance paperwork to Clients, Energy Suppliers and Accreditation Bodies on a weekly basis, operating within contractual deadlines to ensure compliance.
Key Accountabilities
Supporting the production of all necessary paperwork associated with installation of Energy Efficiency measure in line with PAS 2030:2019 process
Working closely with the Retrofit Coordinators, Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Designer ensuring PAS installation paperwork is provided in line with the main contract programme
Maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the sustainability sector and pass this expertise onto the wider team
Provide PAS2030 advice to regional delivery teams regarding energy efficiency measures
To ensure that there are zero compliance failures resulting from poor and inaccurate submission information
To ensure all Strategic Partners contractual deadlines are adhered to
Engage with key supply chain partners assisting in the effective development and delivery of projects
Assist with the collation of relevant data and the preparation of reports
Any other reasonable management request

Understanding of low carbon and energy efficiency technologies
Prior experience delivering work under Government led incentive scheme
Skills / Knowledge

Ability to review detail quickly and accurately from numerous documents
Ability to liaise with external organisations working to strict deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills
Possess a pro-active approach to work
Literate in MS Office, in particular Microsoft Excel
Driving licence

An understanding that compliance failure will result in loss of revenue to the business
Flexible & adaptable (to cope with frequent changes in government guidance and associated working practices)

Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Good levels of numeracy
Computer literate in Microsoft Office programs, particularly in MS Excel
