We are seeking creative and friendly Support Workers to join our team in Ripon. You will work in partnership with people who use our services, to enable them to live as independently as possible and be part of their local community. As a Support Worker you will encourage the health and well-being of the people that you support, through enabling them to be involved in a range of activities.

Ø Developing new activities that are meaningful to the individual

Ø Developing skills in managing finances, maintaining tenancies

Ø Supporting health and well - being by providing support to carry out daily living tasks such as cooking and maintaining a home environment.

Ø Providing support to attend and manage medical appointments.

We are looking for people who can bring their passion and enthusiasm to the role in order to achieve positive outcomes for the people that we support. The range of activities can reflect the skills, knowledge and experience of the post holder, but will also need to meet the wishes of the people we support.

At Autism Initiatives we provide specialist services tailored to each individual. Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion to making a difference to the lives of people with autism, as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.

- Throughout the COVID 19 pandemic we continue to prioritise the safety of our staff and people with autism; we are working together to make sure that we reduce risk of infection and support everybody’s wellbeing as we go through this challenging time._
- At the moment, our interviews are being conducted remotely to minimise risk and ensure we are adhering to government guidelines. Autism Initiatives provide staff with appropriate PPE to ensure the safety of our staff and people with autism and reduce the risk of infection._
- From October 2021 following Parliamentary approval and a subsequent 16 week grace period, anyone working in a CQC registered care home in England for residents requiring nursing or personal care, must have had 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, unless they have a medical exemption.
