We are looking to appoint a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to work as part of the Mental Health Mission in the Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M-RIC) aligned to the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration and which sits within a ground-breaking new Centre: Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL).
M-RIC is an ambitious programme of work jointly delivered between University of Liverpool and Mersey care NHS Foundation Trust (MCFT) until December 2027. It will have wide reaching benefits to the region whilst raising the profile of all partners as leaders in Mental Health Innovation.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual who will work independently and as part of a diverse group of people on the Child Adolescent Digital Mental Health work package at M-RIC. The PDRA will need excellent organisational and time management skills to take ownership of a small portfolio of well-defined, discrete research projects within the M-RIC work packages.
You should have experience of taking a lead or co-investigator role in executing research projects within a university and/ or NHS environment. Able to demonstrate the ability to lead on key research processes and milestones including experience with research design, ethics and governance. Experience working in one or more of the following: clinical trials, experience-sampling methods, health technology evaluation, designing/ developing health-focused technology prototypes that enhance user experience and address key healthcare technology challenges. An ability to use diverse methods in the pursuit of applied knowledge is preferred and a PhD in a relevant discipline required.
The post is available on a fixed term 2-year basis from the agreed start date.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent research doctorate).
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
