We are currently recruiting for a Head Of Clinical Services, who will work alongside the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and other members of TPC’s Quality Group in leading, directing and motivating the clinical teams. The Head Clinical Services, London, will ensure the London premises, including CSC and Hans Place, remain compliant with CQC requirements and all regulated activities.
The Head of Clinical Services will:
Take responsibility for effectively implementing clinical policies and procedures to enable the provision of a high-quality service, both in respect of patient care and employee engagement.Supervise the site management teams to ensure the integrity of all clinical functions across London.Provide leadership and strategic direction for clinical services in London, in line with overall strategic and business goals, acting as a role model for organisational culture and values to achieve the goals and direction for the medicalContinue to develop and deliver a high quality, evidence based, in-patient service in a changing health care environment ensuring that it supports and reflects, regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures, service user needs, medical objectives, and professionalSet, monitor, and evaluate the standard of care and practice provided in the service in consultation with staff and the multi
- disciplinaryManage an effective pre-operative and post-operative department to ensure a seamless patient journey from booking to post-operative surgery.Ensure that all written and electronically stored information is accessible only to authorised personnel and is stored in accordance with the Data ProtectionContribute to the development and amendment of policy and practice arising from audit outcomes, complaints andDemonstrate true leadership by setting and encouraging high standards of care and personalBe the Registered Manager for the Harley Street and Fitzroy Hospital and ensure compliance with the National Minimum Standards and Regulations and all Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other regulatoryAttend regular Clinical meetings and sit on the MAC as a committeeAttend, and where necessary report to, appropriate meetings as directed by the CMO or CEO.Be responsible for the management of the admission processes, safe and appropriate patient management, and the achievement of related and reportable careImplement Policies and Procedures as required and provide support and advice to colleagues to embed new working practices.Be responsible for dealing with first line, patient and relative clinical complaints and reporting as well as making initial investigations of complaints, incidents, near misses or serious untoward incidents in line with company procedures and ensuring that immediate action plans are put in place to safely deal with theProvide direction for TPC to ensure that a patient focused clinical governance agenda is defined and reported to the standards expected.Advise on the planning of patient care based on relevant regulatory body guidance and TPC’s policies and procedures.Provide leadership on the provision of relevant documentation, including policies and procedures (SOPs).Help ensure compliance across TPC with all appropriate regulatory, professional, and best practice frameworks.Enable and encourage team members to expand and develop their own competencies.Prepare relevant reports on audit outcomes, complaints, policy updates and incidents in a timely manner to allow management teams at site level and head office to review at relevant meetings.Coordinate and contribute to changes in practice and policies when the need for change has arisen and subsequently evaluating implementation of such changes.Report any hazards or incidents via TPC procedure; oversee the completion of risk assessments and to support the company H&S representatives.Ensure staff and departments have access to written and verbal information appropriate to their needs.Promote evidence-based practice.Encourage, develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self.Ensure Breast Registry entries are recorded in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure accurate recording of procedures and diagnostic coding asEnsure a safe and caring environment to ensure that a high standard of practice is maintainedEnsure service user records are maintained up to date and are an accurate reflection of the careEnsure that all clinical and other information is gathered, stored, and passed on to relevant hospital service/personnel, as well as external agencies as required such as PHIN and the National BreastEnsure PREMs and PROMs are collated and are within expected parameters, setting actions to address failing
