Payroll Administrator

This is a busy Payroll department, supporting a wider team and ensuring that data is processed accurately and within strict deadlines for monthly payrolls of 5000+
Key requirements for this role are attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, confidentiality, and strong team working skills.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Process payroll information in line with Company policy and guidelines
- Validate and reconcile changes to payroll
- Ensure all work is prioritised and completed in accordance with Service Level Agreements / Company deadlines.
- Maintain comprehensive audit trail for all changes to employee pay.
- Ensure accurate data input on the relevant in house systems
- Provide a professional service with a focus on payroll compliance and statutory regulations
- Make suggestions for ongoing process improvements
- Ensure all personal documentation is handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act
- Any other tasks required by the Team Leader or Manager

**Experience and Qualifications**:
- 1-2 years working in payroll team
- Some knowledge of statutory payments, tax calculations, NIC rules
- Able to calculate pro-rated payments for new Joiners, Leavers and mid-month changes.
- Understand Salary sacrifice rules and compliance around Benefits and Pensions
- Experience with excel spreadsheet, formulas, pivot tables etc
