**The role**
As a member of Payroll team, undertaking a range of administrative duties across the function without supervision. To be an expert in one or more services and train, guide and support others with tasks as required.
**What will I be doing?**
Proven track record in helping to identify best practice and delivering improved
Ensure compliance with organisation policies, procedures and work instructions
To take ownership of problems and be proactive when dealing with all issues.
Delivers payroll administrative services to a high standard managing and completing tasks, using own initiative.
Resolves queries using judgement based on analysis of information and knowledge and experience of processes and services.
To escalate to the relevant Senior Employee Services Administrator or if needed initiate escalation procedures.
Proactively investigate ways to reduce common issues.
Responsible for update and maintenance of accurate internal work instructions and processes.
**What do I need?**
- Proven track record in helping to identify best practice and delivering improved organisational efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- An ability to work under time constraints
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritise & deliver accurate results to tight deadlines
- An ability to work under pressure
- To exceed the expectations of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to work in team environment whilst working on own allocated work
- Provide accurate information to all stakeholders
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Good general education e.g. GCSE (or equivalent)
- Communicate effectively in English
- Experience working in a customer service or administration role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
**Desirable Qualifications**:
- Working towards or willing to work towards appropriate qualification in Payroll.
