The company is growing and evolving to meet the needs of its prestigious existing and new customers, and is now seeking a Project Officer to support the team.

**Project Office Company Background**

MKC Training Services Ltd. (MKC Training) is a wholly owned subsidiary of MidKent College. The company was established in 2008 as part of an innovative public, private partnership with the Ministry of Defence to provide training at The Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) in Chatham, Kent.

The company has grown to become an outstanding expert in the design and delivery of innovative teaching, learning and assessment.

**The Project Officer Role**

The Project Officer will support project managers and other colleagues to deliver a range of projects in a variety of ways, such as:

- Supporting the effective and efficient running of projects by, for example:Monitoring and maintain project documentation

Preparing project reports, presentations and other communications
Liaising with stakeholders
Organising project meetings
Contributing to project delivery where appropriate by, for example, thinking tactically and creatively to solve problems and deliver project outcomes
Conducting research to understand what projects need to deliver and, where appropriate, to identify possible solutions
Providing administrative support to the project managers
Supervise suppliers and contractors where appropriate

The company’s projects are hugely varied, covering everything from the implementation of products and services for new and current customers, through to internal business change work, and everything in between. No two projects will be the same, so the postholder will need a flexible approach to their duties to help get things done - there will be times when they will need “roll up their sleeves” to do some of the work themselves. Over time, there will be opportunities for the postholder to develop their project management capabilities - both through formal learning and development, and by managing their own projects with support from the project managers.
