There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Head Office located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit a new role of Group Early Careers Recruitment and Talent Coordinator to join the Group HR team.

**The role**

The Group Early Careers Recruitment and Talent Coordinator reports to the Group Resourcing and Talent Manager. The role is responsible for overseeing the end to end recruitment process for our annual graduate and apprentice cohorts. This includes managing the relationship with our third party recruitment suppliers, coordinating assessment centres and interviews, through to issuing offers and contracts of employment. The role also ensures the effective onboarding and induction of new starters across our Early Careers programmes, encouraging a positive experience for all new starters and hiring teams internally.

This role works collaboratively with the wider HR team in organising and attending relevant early careers events, promoting the business as an employer of choice, and representing our brand across relevant institutions including educational establishments.

**Principal accountabilities of the Group Early Careers Recruitment and Talent Coordinator role include**:

- Gather role requirements from across the Group and 22 divisions and collate numbers for all early careers recruitment across our annual Graduate and Apprentice programmes.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with existing partners including third party recruitment partners and track progress of all Early Careers recruitment activities against agreed project timelines.
- Support the coordination, planning and delivery of annual Apprentice and Graduate assessment centres and interviews.
- Oversee the offer process and onboarding of successful hires including issuing offers and contracts of employment, completing pre-employment checks and effective onboarding.
- Work collaboratively with Learning & Development to support the administration of sourcing and confirming learning providers, and maintaining relevant system databases as required.
- Support in the design, delivery and management of Early Careers activities including induction, rotations and development activities.
- Support current and new initiatives designed to diversify our talent pools for Early Careers positions, as part of the Group’s wider ED&I strategy.
- Support activities designed to build an employer of choice brand and to attract future talent cohorts. This will include coordinating and attending relevant early careers events across the UK as required.
- Provide advice and guidance as appropriate to support the wider HR team in the attraction and retention of our Early Careers’ cohorts.
- Collate and monitor feedback on Early Careers recruitment and programmes to support continuous improvement across initiatives for future cohorts.

**Experience, Qualifications and Skills**

**Experience**
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced in-house talent or recruitment team with knowledge of early careers initiatives including apprenticeship and graduate programmes.
- Experience of dealing with the full recruitment cycle for high volume recruitment campaigns.
- Experience of working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or other database systems is desirable.

**Skills and Aptitude**
- Excellent administration and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills, with the ability to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.
