The role of Associate Head of Healthcare is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required. Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower them to feel in control and where applicable, support them during the forensic examination process.
Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape. Mountain Healthcare are a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK.
The Associate Head of Healthcare will support the Regional Director and senior management team to ensure the clinical team are provided with the support to develop their talent.
The Associate Head of Healthcare will support the Regional Director to provide robust clinical governance processes across our SARC services in the East.
**Associate Head of Healthcare**
The role will include:
- supporting service and policy development relating to national directives from NHS England, National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), and FFLM guidance.
- ensuring effective governance structures are in place to achieve the service delivery.
- deputising for the Regional Director in their absence.
- supporting the Regional Director in rota management.
- supporting the managers of each SARC to deliver services with a focus on quality and holistic care.
- being responsible for the successful integration of new areas of business to ensure that consistency of quality and appropriate clinical leadership.
- working within a budget and working with the senior management team to provide value for money solutions.
- contributing to the medical staffing workforce plan and supporting wider clinical education and the development of an entrepreneurial programme for staff.
- acting as the operational single point of contact for doctors.
All of our senior clinical team have the ability to step in at short notice to support gaps in provision. This will not be on a regular basis, however, in addition to the responsibilities above, the work of a Healthcare Professional is included as part of the role.

**Essential Skills**:
- Registered General/Adult Nursing qualification.
- A minimum of 3+ years post qualification experience.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Working towards a higher-level forensic qualification.
**Desired Skills**:
- Experience of working in a field related to sexual health.
- Further Clinical Forensic Qualification such as SOM, Licentiate.
- Mentoring experience.
- Experience of supporting victims of sexual assault.
