This Tool Hire Supervisor role is workingin our Jewson Branches in n Newcastle and North Shields. Jewson is the biggest employer in the UK Saint-Gobain business, with over 500 branches. What will I be doing in this role? The Tool Hire Supervisor role is a varied and busy role. You will be focusedon generating profitable business by building relationships with customers both face to face and via the telephone to achieve maximum sales, while ensuring effective and efficient running of Tool Hire in line with Health & Safety guidelines. This role offersa varied mix of customer / account management and commercial focus. You're expected to be hands on involved with the sales counter, dealing with customers face to face & over the phone to build a profitable pipeline and good picture of the market. We can provideyou with the product knowledge needed, however we need you to bring with you the right driver, determination and understanding of how to maximise on sales opportunities. Key day to day duties include:
- Supervising a small team to ensure that profitable customerrelationships are built and maintained; driving sales and seeking new business opportunities with new and existing customers
- The creative and efficient scheduling, allocation and management of the tools - working closely with other local branches to ensurethat all contracts can be fulfilled to maximum capacity
- Ensure sales orders and delivery schedules are processed accurately and promptly and advising customers on trading terms and conditions
- Servicing and maintenance of all tools making sure that anytechnical problems, faults and repairs are dealt with efficiently
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage customerneeds whilst maximising profit
- Strong mechanical mind-set - you may not have worked with tools before but can demonstrate an understanding of, or interest in mechanical equipment
- A positive attitude and the desire to want to continually improve our service
- Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions inline with our Jewson Values
- Supervising a small team to ensure that great relationships are developed with new and existing Customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise tool hire delivery and collection, keeping customers updated throughout their journey
- Collaborate with the wider network to support Customer requirements and business activities
- Get to knowthe local market to support plans for sales growth
- You may be occasionally required to carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
