**What you’ll be doing**
Are you ready for a new challenge?
We are looking for a **Data Protection Advisor** to join our friendly team. This is a varied role, where every day comes with new experiences to develop skills and learn from each other and the wider Thames Water network. This role requires youto be based at the Swindon site twice a week with the remaining time working from home.
**You will be responsible for**:

- Managing and administering Data Protection mailboxes
- that requests are fully complied to, responded within regulatory timescales and the
- appropriate exemptions are applied
- Extracting and combine information for requests
- Ensuring all work and complaints are accurately tracked and internal decisions are
- documented to demonstrate the rationale
- Working closely with the wider team to manage and escalate risks, complaints or
- Producing and maintaining procedural documents to demonstrate workstream
- Supporting the production of data protection related standards and guidance
- Supporting the delivery of Training across the business.
- Responding to data protection queries and provide relevant advice and guidance

**What you should bring to the role**:

- Experience in a compliance related role, ideally GDPR / data protection or customer facing roles
- Experience in handling, planning, collating and organising data in addition to being able to multi task and manage numerous deadlines
- Possess excellent skills in collaborating with a range of employees within other departments
- Solid IT skills including the use of MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel and PDF
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure, but also remain focused whilst undertaking arduous tasks
- The ability to work on your own initiative, make decisions, proactive and able to work without close supervision
- Inquisitive nature/able to investigate and interrogate processes and systems
- Able to learn new skills and different ways of working
- Provides a supportive, collaborative team environment
