The Registration Service provides a front-line customer-facing service dealing with members of the public at some of the most important times in their lives.

**About the role**

An exciting role has become available within Wiltshire Registration Service for a Peripatetic Registration Office based in our Trowbridge, County Hall office. If you enjoy working with people, can provide excellent customer service, and adhere to precise legal procedures this could be a great opportunity for you.

As a Peripatetic Registration Officer, you will be employed to provide planned holiday cover and planned absence cover for colleagues in the Registration Office in which you will be based. You will be trained to register births, deaths, and stillbirths, complete the legal preliminaries for marriage and civil partnership, conduct and register Marriages and Civil Partnerships and perform Welcoming and Celebration of Marriage ceremonies.

**About you**

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to write neatly, work accurately, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.

The actual hours worked will vary depending on colleagues’ leave and sickness but you will know well in advance when you will be required to work. You could expect to work approximately 350 hours per annum.

Full registration training will be provided.
