We’re looking for a new member of staff to join our friendly team based at Gatwick Airport site as a **Team Leader - Car Mover** working on a **full-time, permanent basis.**

The site services passengers travelling to and from Gatwick Airport and can therefore be very faced paced.

**Purpose of the role**

To ensure the car movements within Gatwick are delivered professionally, efficiently and effectively in accordance with our standards as well as meeting the customer expectations in respect of customer service through leading a team of car movers.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Manage car movements and the car mover team to ensure site standards are maintained.
- Accountable for managing the car park to maximise the capacity to ensure the site hits its monthly budget
- Be a role model in “working together” and driving this ethos throughout the team
- Working closely with other Car Mover Team Leaders within the site to ensure a smooth and seamless handover between shifts.
- Succession planning within the team in order to ensure the business continues to run smoothly and without interruption.
- Coaching, mentoring, sharing knowledge and experience to ensure all colleagues are competent within their role.
- Maintain the safe, careful and efficient movement and parking of non PCV vehicles.
- Ensure cars are parked correctly in the correct areas and ensuring vehicles are moved in the correct order keeping the arrivals clear for incoming vehicles.
- Ensure all movements are recorded on the handheld scanners.
- Ensuring the operations demands are met in a timely manner; including adequate staffing levels, efficient and timely allocation of vehicles in the car park and return of vehicles from the car park to the departure area.
- Handling all company, customer vehicles and company property with care and respect.
- Maintain a quick, efficient and polite service for customers with start -up or other problems.
- Ensure the team maintain a smart and professional appearance.
- Produce and maintain operational policy and procedure. Coaching and training colleagues to adhere to policy and procedure.
- Be the first point of call for reporting of damage within the car park, investigate such issues and see them through to the end of the process.
- Ensure the health and safety requirements are met by staff and recommendations made for continuous improvement.
- To carry out all duties, complying with all company policies, in particular the Health & Safety policy

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required**
- Experience of managing and motivating colleagues with a flexible attitude to work.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues.
- Experience in working in a busy off airport car park environment would be an advantage but is not essential
- A full UK driving licence is essential which will be cheked on an ongoing basis

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
