Linehaul Express (Linex) provides access to products and end to end services that facilitate the transit of international imports and exports, specialising in E-Commerce, One Stop solutions and Express Courier/Cargo Services.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident individual to support the accounting team in the position of Accounts Assistant with all aspects of daily duties; ensuring the efficient running of the department in line with month end reporting deadlines. The rolewill include Accounts Receivable and Credit Control, as well as assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts. The role & responsibilities and criteria are outlined but not limited to, the below:
**Role and responsibilities**
- Assisting with billing from the operating systems and inputting/uploading of sales invoices into Sage with correct nominal code allocation
- Processing of purchase invoices into Sage
- Processing ad hoc supplier payments when required
- Allocation of supplier and customer receipts
- Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting due/outstanding customer debts
- Processing of inter-company sales and purchase invoices
- Monthly reconciliations including bank statements, debtors and creditor listings
- Other general ad hoc duties as and when required
**Essential Criteria**
- GCSE - Minimum A-C Grades in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a larger team with a flexible can do attitude
- Able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet set deadlines
- Detail orientated
**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience with Sage and Nav
- Industry experience
- Intermediate with computers/Microsoft office package
- Valid UK Driving Licence
